I Thanked God for My Foot Pain... Here's Why
Sep 02, 2026Can you actually be grateful for pain?
For the last few months, I've been dealing with severe foot pain that's gotten to the point where some mornings I can barely put weight on my foot. That's a bit of a problem when you've created something called Walk Profits.
But recently I started looking at the pain differently.
Instead of simply asking how I could make it go away, I started asking what it might be trying to tell me. Maybe I haven't been taking care of my entire body the way I should. Maybe I need more stretching, yoga, strength work, better shoes, a better diet, less stress, or simply a more well-rounded approach to my health.
And then I did something that probably sounds strange. I thanked God for the pain.
A couple days later, I came across an incredibly powerful video from Charlie Rocket about Kyrie Irving tearing his Achilles. In one of the worst moments of his career, Kyrie's reaction appeared to be, "Thank you, God."
Charlie shared a line that stopped me in my tracks:
"If you can be grateful in pain, you'll be trusted in prosperity."
That hit me like a ton of bricks.
In this video, I talk about what I've been going through, what I'm learning from it, and why I'm starting to believe that pain, whether physical or emotional, can sometimes be a signal that points us toward something in our lives that needs to change.
And for everyone wondering what happened to Walk Profits, I haven't given up. I just haven't been able to walk very well. I'm working on changing that.
Thanks to everyone who's supported me and Walk Profits along the way.
